Flagship course
Forecast Decision Lab
Six weeks to turn business analytics into a predictive decision system your team can run without you in the room.
You will leave with a documented decision stack, a forecast notebook with explicit uncertainty, and a recurring review agenda that names owners — not just charts.
Learning outcomes
- Frame decisions with horizons, thresholds, and escalation rules.
- Assemble signals without drowning in vanity metrics.
- Communicate ranges to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Install a weekly cadence that survives holiday absences.
Modules
Decision contracts
Write the choice, the owner, and the cost of waiting before touching data.
Signal maps & assumption logs
Trace inputs, expiry, and silent failure modes.
Baseline forecasting craft
Choose models that match horizon and data density — not fashion.
Scenario pressure tests
Stress cash, demand, and capacity under competing stories.
Decision rooms
Run a live review with scripts that keep debate on the range.
Cadence hardening
Hand off artefacts, rituals, and post-mortems to your organisation.
Instructor
Amira Okonkwo
Former head of planning analytics for a UK retail group, Amira now coaches operators on predictive decision systems that survive messy calendars. She teaches with worksheets first, slides second.
FAQ
Do I need a data science background?
Comfort with spreadsheets and basic statistics helps. We do not assume you write production ML pipelines. Analysts and ops leads both thrive when they own a real decision.
What tools do you use?
We stay tool-agnostic. Examples span spreadsheets, lightweight notebooks, and common BI layers. The emphasis is on decision artefacts, not a single vendor stack.
Where does this programme fall short?
If you need deep time-series research or custom model engineering for high-frequency trading-style systems, this lab is not the right fit. We focus on operator decisions with weekly or monthly horizons, and we will say so on the diagnostic call rather than stretch the curriculum.
Reviews from this course
“Module 5’s decision-room script is still taped beside our war-room screen.”

Solid on cadence; lighter on advanced seasonality than I wanted. I supplemented with our own retail calendar and still finished stronger than I started.
